If you and your one-and-only decide to travel out of town for a really
special dinner, you can't go wrong with the Omar Sheriff Room in Lake
Delton's House of Embers on Highway 12. Once a lowly broom closet,
for the last 25 years it has welcomed hundreds of lovers to a cozy
dining room all their own. It's a perfect spot to propose, and over
300 lovers have done just that there. The romantic but larger Humphrey
Bogart or Rudolph Valentino rooms seat between two and eight people.
The House of Embers is known for using fresh Wisconsin ingredients
from local farmers. Be sure to try the barbecue ribs, which are smoked
right on the premises. They also offer lovelorn, hungry diners fresh
salmon and Austrian veal. |
