| For fine dining, the place to go is Wally's House of
Embers, famed for its hickory-smoked barbecue ribs. Last time we had
roast duckling in raspberry sauce-moist, tender meat sealed in crispy,
seasoned skin. Choose from the dimly lit original dining room, with
its Tiffany lamps and pianist on the white baby grand; Barbara's Veranda,
a light and airy salon done in shades of pink and aqua; or the Gazebo
in back. Most romantic is the Omar Sharif Room a curtained-off booth
for two. |
